I received exactly what I expected, the earrings as shown.Quality:I cannot wear costume jewelry.I wore these for several weeks straight, and my skin did not react.When I removed them, they were completely undamaged by my body chemistry.So, these are definitely gold on the outside.The earring backs are very, very small.I've never seen backs this small, so if you have arthritis or are otherwise unable to handle very, very small objects, be aware that you may find yourself in need of larger earring backs.The posts are thin.If your piercing is pretty new, I would NOT use these.You'll want to make sure your piercings are healed well before you use posts of this gauge.Aside from the size of the backs and posts, I definitely recommend these earrings.Especially if you don't remove your studs every day (like me), these will hold up.
