12-08-2024I got this for my teenage daughter who -- shockingly -- spends a fair amount of time in front of the mirror these days.Unfortunately, her room is not well lit, so it seemed wise to get her something that would allow her a better view and not tax her eyes.This one seemed like a bit of a splurge, but we wanted to give it a try.The first impression is that it is, in fact, quite high quality.The mirror itself had a protective sheet (which was very satisfying to remove) and underneath was what appeared to be an optically quite high quality mirror.There are no discernible defects in the mirror and it just seems like that part -- which is the most important part -- was made to a high standard.The mirror pops onto the included stand pretty easily.It reminds me of how some better quality computer monitors I have had in the past have attached to their stands.No tools required, but nice and secure.The stand allows the mirror to be tilted up and down, but not raised to a different height.The latter may be problematic for you, if you are working at a low surface, so just keep that in mind.You could,of course, always just put it on top of a stack of books or something.Apparently, you can pop it off the bottom plate and use it handheld, but I'm not sure that'll be all that useful, but it's an option.There's a little magnified inset in the corner, which doesn't appear to be all that useful given it's size, but I'm sure there are times it will come in handy.The LED lighting has three white temperature settings from warm to very cool.Not sure when you'd want to use the super cool one, but it's there.The light charges over USB-C and it comes with a typical USB-A to USB-C cable that we are accumulating way too many of.I wish it came with USB-C to USB-C since you could then charge it directly from a computer, for instance.We are rapidly eliminating USB-A ports in our household, so it just forces us to hold on to an old power adapter longer.The light itself is quite bright and effective, so that is good.So overall, this feels like a very high quality mirror for makeup, etc.But I'm not sure it's $180 of high quality.By the way, it doesn't come with a power adapter, just the cable.So you should decide for yourself if the quality is worth the price.Jury is still out for us.

12-08-2024This is a great mirror. I love the different temperature light settings. The mirror can be handheld, or mounted quickly and easily. The magnifying part is very tiny, but I've only had to use it on very small areas anyways. The only really downside for me is the price. While it's marked down a bit from when I first ordered it, it is still quite expensive. While it is on the nicer end, I'm not sure that the features make it worth so much more than other mirrors.

12-08-2024Mirror is good.The 5x is so so to use.The brightness and temperature works fine but typically I'll stay on one setting.As for travel ready, not sure about that.Size is kind of big.Has built in battery so if going by plane, need to be on carry on luggage.Most places you go will have a mirror in the bathroom.Will you really take this with you?Also, this is expensive.For me, I would rate lower because I can't justify price for it.But I'm sure there's folks with more money and willing to spend it so giving an ok rating (not recommending for or against).
