For the price, they are hard to beat.Here's a few Pros and Cons from a commercial outdoor Retail outfit:Pros: Price, Sound clarity, water resistant, decent battery life(havent ran them down in an 8-hr day yet with continual use), aren't prone to proximity feedback, clips release from belt easily(clip screws HAVE to be threadlocked), decent range +-3/4mi in semi-dense wooded areas, programmed channels out of the box, have survived multiple hip-high drops onto groundCons: Many have static during transmissions, they arent very loud outside(we had to add speakers or IE devices) and impossible to hear around diesel equipment or busy roads, very easy to accidentally change channels, no difference in "charging" and fully charged" lightsYou should try them, for the money you wont be disappointed.Especially when the Motorola equivalent is well over $200 each and have crappy components which they wont repair
