I’ve only just started using it so I can’t ascertain to it’s long term effectiveness, but so far I haven’t noticed a difference in shedding. The smell doesn’t bother me but it is very herbal (in case you prefer the scents of other commercial brands). It lathers easily, and rinses easily. It hasn’t dried out my hair. HOWEVER, I will add that I have noticed I have had to wash my hair more often. My hair gets greasier faster. The product is affordable and a little goes a long way.
