Tantus was born from the hope and aspiration to make the lives of people throughout the world fun, worthwhile, and enjoyable. To make ordinary people smile, and challenge the ethos of an industry to bring what everyone truly desires – Sexual Happiness.
Metis Black began making sexual wellness products in late 1997; beautifully hand-poured creations, flaunting enticing colors, requiring hours of sculpting, prototyping and testing, in order to devise a unique and anatomically targeted product. At the time, all silicone products were made using a tin based silicone, common in mold making, but whose base material contained white filler. Black wanted something truly different. She helped develop a process using the highest grades of silicone, of a far superior quality than other industry rivals to create her own unique and pure formula. Not only to be found in small boutiques, but made available to a mass market.
Part of Tantus’ O2 Dual Density line, Gary features detailed skin texture, veins, and wrinkles with a soft silicone outside that looks – and feels – remarkably real. At 1.5” in diameter and 7” of insertable length with a harness compatible base, Gary is your go-to phallus for amazing strap-on and solo play.
Tantus was the first company to bring body-safe, silicone sexual health products to mainstream America, as well as the rest of the world.
As a company built on progressive ideas about pleasure and safety, it’s only natural that we should be the ones to answer common questions about the material we use to make our toys possible: Silicone.
One of the most important things to remember when talking about sex toys is that the novelty industry is completely unregulated. Manufacturers can create any ratio of materials and label them however they want; their product descriptions are not required to follow product content guidelines set forth by a governing body.
A classic example is ‘siliconized’ caulk you use around your bathtub or shower. It is a combination of latex or acrylic and silicone oil, but it is certainly not a 100% silicone product. In order to understand what makes a toy actually ‘silicone’, we’ll have to get a little nerdy
Silicone is a polymeric elastomer, a chain of molecules made of silicon and oxygen, combined with silica and other materials that strengthen the final product into a stretchable, tear-resistant solid. All silicone products are technically blended since pure silicon crumbles and has really no durability. Therefore silcone must be reinforced with additions to give it strength and stability for our industry’s intended use.
Tantus uses only non-toxic pigments that do not affect the product’s quality.
Tantus has created its own unique formula of 100% Ultra-Premium Silicone, using just enough additives to maintain quality and durability while trying to achieve the purest silicone in the our industry. Tantus silicone’s high quality makes it extremely safe and pleasurable. It’s even safe to use with some premium silicone lubricants which don’t react with our ultra-premium silicone.
Well I have the Tantus Adam and it is fantastic but the Tantus Gary is the new go to for pegging.I could not imagine anything being any better, just perfection.7" insertable and 1.5 width with the O2 design which means the dildo have a softer outside and a semi firm inner core. The tip issofter than the remaining portion of the dildo which makes for a comfortable insertion and thrusting without any pain. The dildo starts toget firmer about 1.5 or so down from the top. The outer layer is so lifelike with the textured finish that if you were blindfolded you would thinkit is a real penis. Tantus silicone material seems real durable.I use a hybrid silicone lube and the texture holds enough of the lube tomake it glide very easily. If you are new to pegging, I would say this is excellent equipment although you may need to work up to 1.5" width but buying a "Premium" producton the start of your journey will make the ride much easier. One good tip in using this dildo is to let it soak in warm water to eliminate a cold feelingduring insertion and use.Cleaning is easy with hot water and soap, although I understand you can boil, dishwasher and bleach it.One more thing, don't be hesitant about the dildo being 7" insertable length, because there has to be some excess for the stroke duringpegging.Anyway the Gary is #1 on my list and I recommend highly.
I'm a big fan of Tantus and this item did not disappoint! The "2nd skin" isn't what I imagined it would be like, but that's fine with me. It's certainly softer which has me kicking my Goddess to the wayside. The reason I (hesitantly) docked a star is because, while I love that it's at an angle, I hate that it doesn't stand upright. This is really something that I need. I don't like having to lay my toy down unless it's squeaky clean and being stored away. Also, while I enjoy the softness, I feel the softer material is an even bigger lint magnet. There's just no winning!! ;) But, seriously, it's (of course) a great toy!
Unfortunately, this has been my worst experience with Amazon to date.I first found this product on a few other sites but after deciding to purchase, my research led me to Amazon. Not only is the product a totally different size than described, 8 inches vs. 6 inches, it's a totally different color than pictured. I could live with the color as its probably a lighting issue when the product photo was taken.I'm hopeful that the seller will contact me to set up an exchange for the 6 inch version...at which time I will reassess my overall rating.Otherwise, pay the extra money and get what you like elsewhere.
